The fuel transfer system is designed to work with Hummers and HMMWV with dual fuel tanks. It can be programmed to work with Either OEM H1 Hummer fuel gauge or nearly any aftermarket fuel level gauge.

The system is designed to eliminate the need for a switching valve and allow the vehicle to operate ONLY off of the main (front) tank and utilize the secondary tank as an auxiliary where fuel is automatically (or manually) transferred from the rear tank to the front. Just as any modern GM dual tank vehicle would. The primary engine supply and return will only be connected to the Main tank.

Both senders must be approx 30-230 ohm resistance.

The system is programmed to only transfer fuel from the rear tank if the main tank is below a quarter tank and/if the rear tank has fuel. It will then automatically transfer fuel from the Aux. tank to the Main tank until the main tank reaches 3/4 capacity or the Aux. tank is empty.

The transfer pump is connected to the Aux tank pickup and connected to the Main tank at the sending unit plate or in the Main tank filler neck. The Aux tank will no longer need an engine return fuel connection and this fitting can typically be capped off. The pump has the outlet side labeled and must be pointed towards the Main tank. The inlet side has a predicted that is plumbed to the Aux. tank pickup.

Both senders must be approx 30-230 ohm resistance. and must have a good ground connection to the vehicle.

The wiring is as follows:

  • Red– 12v Igntion.
  • Black – Ground
  • Yellow – splice into Main tank sending unit signal wire.
  • Green 7 terminal connector – to system monitor
  • Orange / Black – transfer pump
  • Blue / Black – Aux Tank sending unit
